12 Al-Qaeda members arrested in Baghdad
Iraqi security forces arrested 12 Al -Qaeda members on Saturday in connection with the recent attack on a Christian cathedral in Baghdad, a security official said.
Among the detained is the leader of Al-Qaeda Baghdad cell, General Ahmed Abu Ragheef, the Interior Ministry's head of internal affairs reported.
The arrested confessed that they attacked and took hostages at the Our Lady of Salvation Church on October 31. 58 people were killed, including 46 hostages and 75 were injured, when Iraqi forces tried to free the hostages.
The detained also took responsibility for 16 attacks in Bagdad.
